Ursa Marketing’s Mandate for Alt-Energy

In 2021, Alt-Énergie launched its exclusively online business dedicated to selling solar energy products. Its mission is to support customers by sharing a passion for alternative energies and making this type of technology accessible.

The team behind Alt-Énergie is the same as the one behind Couture Auto Électrique, which specializes in electric car systems and enjoys a solid reputation in Quebec’s Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. But the team wants the Alt-Énergie brand to stand on its own and gain recognition throughout the province.

So it contacted Ursa Marketing for help.

Our mandate is to develop Alt-Énergie’s brand awareness in Quebec. To achieve this goal, we created digital strategies and marketing tactics that are not only increasing the brand’s visibility and discoverability online, but also promoting its products and services to boost revenue.

Challenges Associated to the Mandate

In tackling this mandate we face two major challenges:

First, Alt-Énergie’s current e-commerce platform has major performance shortcomings and lacks accessible and reliable tracking. This technical issue with performance measurement hinders our ability to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Second, despite the well-established reputation of Couture Auto Électrique in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, the Alt-Énergie brand has little recognition outside this region.


Digital Marketing Strategies and Tactics Implemented

We have developed a comprehensive strategic approach incorporating a variety of tactics to address the challenges related to the Alt-Énergie mandate.

Influencer Marketing

To enhance the brand’s influence and credibility, we implemented an influencer strategy to forge strategic partnerships with key players in the alternative energy sector. These partnerships aim to expand Alt-Énergie’s reach and solidify its reputation within the community.

Advertising Campaigns

We initially launched impactful brand awareness campaigns on popular advertising platforms such as Meta Ads and Google Ads to increase the brand’s visibility across Quebec. To target specific audience interests, we developed campaigns showcasing different solar projects through detailed fact sheets. These initiatives aim to draw attention to Alt-Énergie’s concrete achievements to generate interest and trust among potential customers.
